Scottish artist based in Edinburgh. Henry Kondracki studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, London, from 1982 to 1986. He has received the Cheltenham Drawing Prize (1999), the Hunting Art Prize (2004) and has twice been the recipient of the Slade Fine Art Prize. His work has been widely exhibited in the UK and abroad.

His work primarily focuses on the changing faces of Edinburgh. The paintings make one think twice about the city in which they live, by capturing familiar scenes afresh.
